Specialties

Alyssa is dedicated to providing a supportive and empathetic space for clients navigating depression, anxiety, identity development, and a range of other mental health concerns.  Her background and previous work experience includes working with children and adolescents with various developmental disabilities and challenges. Her training in behavior and crisis management equips her up to support a diverse range of clients within a safe, nonjudgmental space.

My Approach

Alyssa takes a holistic approach to counseling, addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions of each individual while honoring their unique cultural backgrounds and personal experiences. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and unhelpful behaviors. Alyssa will incorporate mindfulness techniques, self-care, and coping strategies into each session. Drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Alyssa strives to create an empathetic, congruent, and accepting space for every client.
